No, jokes aside & in your own words, why do you think our guild might be right for you?
I am looking for a familiar, mature group of exp./good players, which are focused on challenging content. You guys seem to offer that :)
Race and Profession
What professions (classes) can you bring to our raids, either right away or given some time (fully geared and experienced at playing them)?
Right away: Tempest (Staff, D/W), Herald and DH (have to switch some gear between the last two). Given some time: Reaper and PS.
How old are you, really? Choose what applies best.
18+ and owning every year of it
Where are you from? Where do you live now?
I am from germany and still live there.
What best describes when and how long you play?
I play most weekday evenings and several longer sessions on weekends.
TS is mandatory for our raiding progress. Is that a problem for you?
What do you like to do in GW2? Why do you play the game? Choose those that apply!
I am a fractal runner, PvE and chasing achievements, Explore and do every puzzle and challenge
[IMPORTANT] Tell us a little about yourself that we haven't asked about so far. Anything goes, except short responses and incomplete sentences, we hate those. None has discovered a word limit to this text field yet, if one exists.
I am Fabian, 21 years old and from germany. At the Moment I am doing a apprenticeship as an IT-specialist in application-development (starting my third year next month). My first weaponset consists of my fists and my second set of my legs. Thus my weapon abilities are all unarmed combat (to clarify: I am doing martial arts). My selected healing skill is the power nap with a channeling time of 12h (and no cooldown^^). Currently I've selected the utility skills 'friendly' (increases magic find for all party members by 20%), 'rusty english' (+50% understanding, but a debuff of 30% for speaking) and 'pet buddies' (summons two lizards and a tarantula which causes fear for 10 seconds to all nearby players). Finally my elite skill is and will always be 'keep calm' (while activated inflicts 5 seconds of chill every 2 seconds but also gives 5 seconds of vigor every 2 seconds).
I am a GW1 veteran and playing GW2 since the beta (>2500h of active game time).
GW2 is the best game I have ever played (and I have played a lot of games(Legacy of Kain: Defiance is the second place btw.)) and I am certain, I'll play it till the servers are shut down. But I can't promise I won't take breaks from the game to be honest. At the momemt (since 2 months or so) I am playing on a daily basis again. I am mainly doing T4 fractals (with my DH *sigh*), PvP-Dailies and raids.
In general I am a pretty relaxed person and don't give up that easily. I don't like mean/rude/trolling people at all. If I meet someone like this I will block him instantly and that's it. I usually do not discuss about that. But no worries, anyone has a bad day sometimes. I am not mad or hurt on/by someone who isn't responding or something like that. I have no problem with strong language either, if it's not meant offensive against someone (me >.>). My english isn't the best like I implied above. I am certain I can understand mostly anything you say (if the accent isn't to strong :D), but I have problems with building long sentences...and tenses. I am not used to talk in english. But I would love to improve myself in that term and would like to get corrected by you guys, if you detect a mistake I make (in my gameplay too of course :D)
To the raiding:
I have cleared Wing 1 multiple times and have the title 'Eternal'. I am solid with all it's bosses and will gladly do stuff besides dealing damage (like canon duty at Sabetha), too. Until now I sadly only had the chance to do 1 training run for Sloth and Matthias of Wing 2. I also did the first escort and the twisted maze in Wing 3 successfully. I would consider myself as a very good player (at least in comparison to most pugs) but I do not do 'the math' and such. I am following the actual meta and orient myself to (I have a problem with this sentence - obviously) famous GW2-Players like members of the guilds [qT] & [KING]. However I am training my dps-rotations on unlucky golems from time to time and try to improve myself everyday. In addition I certainly prepare myself for raid related content which is new for me. And I am not doing raids for the loot (besides the ghostly infusion I am saving for) but for the fun/challenge.
That's a bit about myself. I know you usually don't do something like that in this kind of application, but I have to point out a few things, that I wish you could offer me:
- You guys are friendly, mature and won't instantly get mad if someone is doing something wrong (I am repeating myself :S)
- You offer runs for first-timers or training runs from time to time
- You don't always go strict for best class-compositions. (I do not talk about group-compositions or meta builds. I want to play my Dragonhunter sometime for example. Not in DPS-Tight fights like Gorseval, tho.)
In the end I want to apologise for the massive use of 'I am' and 'myself', and to Malentor himself. You told me to apply here 2 weeks ago or so, but I forgot it ^^'
PS: I am sure I forgot a few things I wanted to write but I want to finally submit that application so bad, I can't wait any longer *urgh*
PPS: I have reached the max. quantity for guilds. I will leave one, if you accept me.
